As i have reached the three quarter century mark, realize how little i have learned about men. Must say at times the road my spouse and i traveled was a bit rough, but the ride was so great! Of course the advice i could give would not apply, to today`s world. All i can say is with patience and love, it is always a learning experience between the sexes. Hang in there Goddesses, as it does get better with time.

Having these insights would have save so much frustration, yet armed with the knowledge, doesn't always ease frustrations. Accepting the differences and loving the special parts is my focus.

You are so right about men only being able to concentrate on one thing at a time. In a sense, I admire that ability. It seems to keep them more relaxed than women.

I find that as women, we tend to think about "everything all at once". It's a wonder that we're still walking with so much on our minds. There are times when I wish that I could go into the seeming oblivion that my husband goes into and simply ignore everything else around me while I do one thing at a time. Unfortunately, I've usually got to keep one eye on the back of my head open to get him out of the messes he's allowing to happen around him while he concentrates on only one thing!

What would the world be like if both men and women thought alike?

We'd have dirty dishes piled in the sink, laundry mounded up past our heads, the pizza delivery guy would be our best friend and on speed dial, no bill would be paid on time, our answering machines/voicemail would tell callers "inbox is full", kids would be clothless and dirty, but, we'd sure know the scores of every game being played over the past week!

Ahhhh...ignorance sometimes is bliss. :)

This entry did give me a chuckle and a reason to want to go slap hubby upside the head!
