Earlier this month, we had a guest post about the innovative “cool” new sleepwear from Lusome. I got to try it – and it’s an absolute winner in my book. With a feeling of soft brushed cotton along with its wicking ability, we can be dry and cool all night long. Which is heaven, as those of us who have been hot, wet, then cold in rapid succession can attest.
The Lusome folks want to give away one of their lovely cool gowns or jammies to a lucky Menopause Goddess. And because we goddesses don’t have a lot of time or energy thanks to this transition, we will make it super easy.
Just “Like” Lusome’s Facebook page (click here) and then “Like” Menopause Goddess Blog Facebook page (click here.) Once you have “liked” both pages, send your mailing address and email to me at lynette@9points.com. We will draw a lucky winner from the contestants in one week – on Monday, August 4. (BTW, I only need your address, etc. to facilitate getting you your prize, should you win. I won’t use it for any other purpose.)
Check out the Lusome website for all the beautiful styles and start thinking about the one you want! I chose the Anne gown – and I love it.
Oh, and if you have already “liked” Menopause Goddess Blog FB page in the past? Then just “like” Lusome’s FB page and send me your info. You don’t get left out just because you are an early adopter or loyal follower.
“cool” stuff
Have you heard about Outlast Technologies? They have a special fiber that they put in bedding which has a great “cooling” affect. It’s not like “wicking” fibers which only start working after you begin to sweat, it’s proactive, and starts absorbing heat right away. You should check out their products here. http://www.slumbercloud.com
Wow, Heather, no I’ve not heard of them – will check them out, thanks so much!
I don’t mean to intrude on your comments, but Heather is so right. Outlast is the best thing ever. Developed for Astronauts. I found my way to your site by Googling for “Outlast womens sleepwear”. On your body, not just the bed. I have some I got from Jockey maybe two years ago. It was called Smart Sleep. They no longer offer it. The product is so wonderful I never want to wear anything else. It’s starting to wear out and I’m on a quest for more. It’s not wicking like Heather said it’s temperature regulating. It doesn’t retain odors and machine washes and dries like a dream. You can read all about the technology at the website Heather mentioned. I’m still on my search for “Outlast womens sleepwear”.
Carol, I just added a new vendor to Menopause Marketplace that claims to have temperature regulating sheets and sleepwear. I haven’t tried their stuff yet, but sounded interesting. They are called Sheex and are at sheex.com. If you try their product, let us know how it works and/or compares to OUtlast.
Thanks, Lynette, I’ll check it out. I did find a site that has Outlast sleepwear. http://alvoruclothing.com/collections/all-products It looks nice, is a little expensive. If I’m going to pay that much I want a style I like. I prefer a knee length gown with a v neck with a flutter sleeve to a tank or cami style. The site says they are open to style suggestions, so we’ll see. Still looking. 🙂
