The Menopause Goddess annual gathering was (we think) the best one ever. None of us actually owned pink pj’s but we were so intrigued by Estroven’s offer to donate $250 to the Avon walk for breast cancer that we all went out and bought some. Rae and I even bought 2 sets so there would be extra’s in case a goddess forgot hers or didn’t have time to shop.
There were even some pink pom poms and sparkly cat’s ears spread about. By the way, Estroven’s offer is still open – $250 donation for a photo uploaded of your own Sleep Pink party by Oct 31. And if a party isn’t in the cards? You can upload a selfie in your pink pj’s and they will donate $100.
Visit SleepPink.com for more info on hosting a sleep pink party and to upload your photo. I’m beginning to like the color pink, just sayin’.
Hey! this blog is hilarious, it really cracked me up! My name is Raquel and I’m a senior at the University of Maryland, School of Pubic Health. I am doing a 6 minute psuedo presentation on the topic “Easing into Menopause” where my colleagues will be pretending they are a group of 20 women around 50 years old. The topic is board with not much direction.
i’d like to ask your advice (or anyone else on this site) on how to get out the information about going through menopause in a fun and interactive way, with an activity or game for them. Do you have any ideas you’d like to share or have used ?
Thank you so much and I look forward to hearing from you!
Best Regards
Raquel Phillips
Hi Raquel. Hmmmmm a game or activity… We started with an entire weekend when we had our initial Menopause Goddess gathering. And that was after we had everyone fill out an extensive questionnaire beforehand. My thought is that there is nothing “quick” enough to compress into a game or activity (though I could be wrong about that.) A suggestion I have is that you share the info re: How to Start Your Own Menopause Goddess Group here are the links: https://www.menopausegoddessblog.com/2013/05/15/dont-go-through-menopause-alone-create-your-own-goddess-group/ and https://www.menopausegoddessblog.com/2013/05/21/menopause-in-community-create-your-own-goddess-group-part-ii/ Feel free to use and distribute – just give credit to Lynette Sheppard and Menopause Goddess Blog. Thanks – good luck with your project.
