I turn 65 this year. And I know I have to sign up for Medicare Part A but was not looking forward to starting the process. Bureaucracy, though necessary, is not my favorite experience. Since the advent of menopause, my patience quotient has greatly decreased. Avoidance is my go-to strategy until I can procrastinate no longer.
So it was with great joy that I opened an email from Healthline Media containing links to articles about demystifying Medicare. I get to share the info they painstakingly compiled with you (and me, woo hoo.) I feel better already!
Here are the links:
When do you sign up for Medicare?
You may not want to procrastinate as long as I did. Check out this excellent information even if you are a few years out from Medicare age.

Really need some help going through menopause in a bad way. Hair is falling out,hot flashes over the top, marriage falling apart. Do not have alot of friends to talk to about my issues and feel really alone.
Hi Dana, I really feel for you – ideally set up a group of women like we did for support – if that is not an option, try to google Menopause Cafe and join one for support. Hope this helps some. Also, put your symptoms, one at a time in the search box on the blog to get all the info on those topics that we’ve posted over the last fifteen years – eg hair loss, hot flashes, etc. Good luck!
